Chinese Green Tea Tasting

For the month of August we will be exploring Chinese green teas. Unlike Japanese greens with their unique steam filament appearance and grassy flavor, the Chinese variation has slight lemon notes, with a hint of nuttiness. The appearance of Chinese green teas spans a vast array of spheres, pellets, pressed leaf and curls. The overall flavor is very smooth and subtle. Between trade wars, land acquisitions, and culture, the expansion of Chinese tea has created a rich history that goes back thousands of years and has cultivated the advance of mankind for just about as long.
