While stopping into Cameron Village this week, you may see store windows looking more festive. You might hear employees discussing the best ways to rearrange displays or see them putting up new signage announcing exciting deals.

Our merchants are getting ready for one of the most fun nights of the year in Cameron Village, our annual Holiday Open House! Join us Thursday, November 15 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. for holiday shopping discounts, contests, giveaways and fun for the family. It’s the best way to start the season in Raleigh!

Merchants Are Ready For Fun

Store employees say they look forward to the Holiday Open House all year. Linda Abdeljabbar, Style and Sales Director at Uniquities says “We try to participate in all the events going on in the Village. We’re one of the longest-running stores here. We like to be with our community.” She predicts outerwear and gift items will be the hottest holiday items on Open House night. Get there early to get what’s on your wishlist this year, “It’s been cold this year and we’re already selling out of our fall and winter items. Mostly, we’ll have gifts we love! We’ll have music and a wine tasting! We always have good energy in here,” Adeljabbar says.

Down the sidewalk at the Little Art Gallery, Owner Rosanne Minick says her store will be featuring a popular local artist at the Open House before a weekend reception showcasing his latest work. Longtime gallery artist Stephen White will show a new collection of his “Golden Classics.” She is excited to show White’s pieces at Open House and says, “People love his work and his pieces would make a great holiday treat for you or someone on your list.”

The Festive Extras

Bundle up the kids and get to the Village early for your chance to win a Cameron Village gift certificate. The first 800 guests that spend over $100 at any of our stores during Open House (during the 5-8pm window) will get FREE $25 gift certificates.

During Open House we will be kicking off our “Season of Wishes.” It’s our chance to thank our customers for their business all year long by granting their holiday wishes.We’re giving away $13,000 worth of gifts throughout the season.

We’ll bring you more details next week on how you can enter online, but starting Thursday night we are granting wishes on the spot! We’re partnering with Offline Raleigh to grant wishes in the Village that night!

For the Family

It’s not too early to get in a good word with the big guy! We have word Santa will be making an appearance and will be giving free photos to all customers at Open House! We don’t get snow in November in Raleigh but we will have a real snow sledding hill! Hop on a carriage ride through the Village. Ride a full-size Ferris Wheel in the middle of Raleigh! There will be music, stilt walkers, aerialists, magicians and more.
