Dewey’s Bakery Opens in the Village!

Shop all your favorite holiday treats at Dewey's Bakery November 13th - December 24th! They are located at 443 Daniels Street.

Sugar Cakes, anyone? How about cheese straws or Moravian cookies for your family’s stockings? Stop at Dewey’s near Carolina Lighting & Design this season. The pop-up store will be open Nov. 13-Dec. 24. Dewey’s partners with Athens Drive Magnet High School and gives a large portion of funds to the band for student scholarships, equipment and operations.

Parent volunteer Laurie Cockman has a senior at Athens Drive and calls the Dewey’s store a “labor of love.” She hopes shoppers know their dollars support local students’ music education and this year they need the support more than ever. “It’s an all volunteer effort. Every person you see here is either a parent or student of an Athens Drive band member. It’s been a rough 18 months because of COVID,” Cockman says.
