For the freshest catch of the day, diners can now enjoy hand cut fish and steaks or try some highly sought after shrimp and grits. Welcome Cape Fear Seafood Company!
Owners Eddie Elliott and Matt Wivell are excited to have their second location and the fifth Cape Fear Seafood Company restaurant in the Village. Elliott says the history of the Village District drew them to their newest location, “There’s pride in being a part of it. We’re happy to get connected and hopefully it will be long term.”
The energetic staff can seat customers out on the patio or in the spacious dining inside the location of the former Cameron Bar & Grill. Elliott is thrilled with the employees who have worked hard in recent weeks to prepare for the opening. “I feel really happy we got as many people as we did, adding 40+ jobs,” he says.
During this month’s opening, Cape Fear Seafood used the opportunity to raise money for causes important to them, donating 50% to The First Tee and Trawick Pediatric Heart Research Fund.
What’s on the menu? Obviously fresh seafood from the North Carolina coast, but Elliot says it’s more than that. “There’s something for everyone. It’s very extensive. Fried, calabash style, steaks, crab legs, mussels, sandwiches and chicken,” he says.
The Cape Fear Seafood team is ready to serve with a style that fits right in the Village District, “Southern hospitality. That’s what we do,” Elliott says.
